Care of residents

Park Manor Residential Care Home is not part of a chain of care homes, but a unique property, built as a family home and retaining a welcoming, home-like atmosphere. It is a family-run business, aiming to create an environment for residents which is comfortable, friendly and respectful of each individual’s own views and preferences.

Our aim is that residents should feel that Park Manor is their home, for as long as they wish it to be so. Every resident is treated with respect, and as an individual, and encouraged to retain their independence for as long as possible.

Care is specifically tailored to the needs of the individual resident, in accordance with their wishes and requirements. Our staff are highly trained in all aspects of care management, available 24 hours a day to provide assistance with the activities of daily living, to whatever level is required.

We also offer convalescent and respite care. The staff at Park Manor work closely with the medical services, and local doctors and community nurses visit on a regular basis to ensure the highest level of medical care for residents. Physiotherapy, dental, optical, hairdressing and chiropody services are provided by visiting practitioners. Alternatively, residents are assisted to attend outside appointments if they prefer. We have a visiting library service, so that residents have a stimulating choice of reading material and ‘talking books’. Newspapers and a selection of magazines are also provided.
